LeBron James has had a phenomenal impact on the state of NBA Basketball in America since he started with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. Picked straight from high school, he led the Cavs to the playoffs five out of his seven years there, making it to the Finals in 2007. Picked up by the Miami Heat last year, he led his team to the 2011 NBA Finals. He is one of the most dominant players in the league.
Of course, a dominant basketball player needs a dominant basketball shoe. Nike has teamed up with LeBron to produce six generations of LeBron James shoes. Built with his signature explosive style in mind, the newest variant of LeBron James shoes feature enhanced stability and comfort, necessary for the intense lateral movement LeBron exhibits on the court.
Of course, the new Lebron James shoes are also stylish. The high tops are built with LeBron’s signature emblems pulled from his jewelry and tattoos festooned across the surface and interior of the shoe, finished off with the iconic LeBron dunk man emblem just inside the collar.
The Lebron James new shoes are designed to be worn on and off the court, good-looking enough for style aficionados but with enough performance for the court. The new Lebron shoes are eye-grabbing for school and blacktop-grabbing for the game.
LeBron is not the first sports idol to have his own brand of Nike shoes. He joins the hallowed ranks of such athletic greats as Lance Armstrong, team-mate Dwayne Wade, and of course the inimitable Michael Jordan. With over twenty generations of his shoe and his own entire division of Nike, Air Jordan, Michael Jordan is the king of basketball shoes. At six generations and four associated variants, LeBron may be the heir to this throne.
LeBron is also a member of a select group of athletes to have been sponsored by Nike. The top athletes in many fields have sported the Nike swoosh, including Barry Sanders and Jerry Rice in football, Nolan Ryan and Cal Ripken Jr. in baseball, Micheal Jordan and Reggie Miller in basketball, the Indian National Cricket Team, Ronaldo and Mia Hamm in soccer, Tiger Woods in golf, and Serena Williams, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, and Raphael Nadal in tennis. LeBron is in illustrious company.
Lebron James basketball shoes are indicative of this association. The most dominant player in basketball is supported by the most advanced, cutting-edge, stylish shoe on the market. Hyperfusion technology means that the shoe is built as a whole, which gives strength to the components through their connections. Additionally, the support elements are conserved, resulting in a shoe that is lightweight in a way that has never been seen before. The “lockdown” design anchors the foot to the sole for a responsive and explosive connection to the court. The airbag and the front zoom technology in the sole have been redesigned to give maximum support.
The styling in LeBron James shoes has also been designed and engineered to LeBron’s specifications, from his signature on the outside to the lion’s head on the tongue, not to mention his player number and area code encrypted on the shoe’s sole. These shoes are his, absolutely and unequivocally, and speak to his athletic dominance on the court and his social dominance outside the court.
He is one of only eight players to score 2,000 points in seven consecutive seasons, along with Micheal Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Alex English, Karl Malone, Oscar Robertson, and Dominique Wilkins.

And he is the first player in NBA history to lead his team in each of the five major statistical categories for two consecutive seasons.
Not to mention that he is also the youngest player to reach many of these milestones.
Socially, LeBron’s impact has been immense. The only son of a single mother, LeBron played for the St. Vincent-St. Mary high school in Akron, OH. He petitioned the NBA to allow him to enter before he had complete high school, and although he did not move up to be drafted until after he graduated, this move garnered national attention during his senior year. To further cement his interest in the NBA, he played in two All-Star events, which rendered him ineligible for NCAA play.
Drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron took a team which had a reputation as a lottery team and which had just suffered their third-worst season in franchise history to the playoffs for the majority of the years he was there, even leading them to a shot at the Finals in 2007. This was also the winningest season in franchise history.
During his time there, LeBron helped fuel a huge surge in the local economy through boosted ticket sales, merchandise, and presence. Cleveland was again on the map.
LeBron has scored endorsement contracts with Nike, Sprite, Glaceau, Bubbilicious, Upper Deck, McDonald’s, and State Farm. While with Cleveland, he won several ESPY awards, was the first black man on the cover of Vogue, and supported Barack Obama’s bid for the Presidency. He also starred in the film “More Than a Game” and is working with Ice Cube on a one-hour special about his life for ABC. In 2010 Forbes magazine ranked LeBron as the second most influential athlete in the world, under Lance Armstrong.
With his free agency and transfer to the Miami Heat in 2010, LeBron again showed that he could lead a team that had the worst record in the league to the NBA Finals. LeBron left a crushed and bitter Cleveland for sunny Florida, and working with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, the Heat reached the Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.

All of this was done while raising two children with his high school sweetheart.
LeBron James shoes are reflective of his story and his impact. LeBron James shoes are a signifier of his energy as a player and his image as a sports idol. Wearing LeBron James shoes is synonymous with legendary. Before he wins his titles, he has accomplished so much, and as a token of this accomplishment and this potential, the Lebron James shoe always stands.
LeBron joined the NBA early and began to accrue milestones before past legends would have even been able. There is so much to come for him, for the Miami Heat, and for the NBA. There are titles to be won and a family to be tended to. There is still much work to be done and a legend to still be forged. This legend will be forged in LeBron James shoes.
